In this case, the task was more than a small change of cabinets or a fresh coat of paint. When we were first approached about the home remodeling project, we were faced with a challenge. 

Our client’s goal was to completely transform the kitchen, dining room, and living room areas with an open floor plan. The walls were starting to make the spaces feel small and closed off from the rest of the house. Ultimately, the homeowner wanted to integrate the key living spaces to create a house that felt more like a home.

In order to help the homeowner achieve that feeling, Swift Restoration and Remodeling presented a few ideas for:

Knowing that the client’s goal was to improve the flow between the kitchen, dining room, and living room, Swift Restoration and Remodeling set out to create a unique layout design. It completely opened up the floor plan to make the rooms all feel like one space, and it helped to make the home feel larger.

Creating an open floor plan in a house isn’t just about changing the layout and adding upgrades to the kitchen. It requires a lot of extra attention to electrical work, wall supports, and more. Swift Restoration and Remodeling ensured that all of the demolition steps were done with care to protect the home from damage. The contractors worked with the homeowner to agree on which walls would be removed and how the change in layout would be executed.

While the project centered around the floor plan, it also required extensive kitchen remodeling so that the kitchen would complement the living room and dining room areas. To help the client achieve their dream kitchen, Swift Restoration and Remodeling went beyond the usual. We installed granite countertops and topped off the look with new, gorgeous oak cabinets in a unique color. 

We also added a stunning kitchen island that serves both an aesthetic and functional role. To help make the open floor plan feel more thought-out, our contractors also installed new luxury vinyl flooring that tied the separate living spaces together. 

Finally, we had our preferred electrician come to the home to finish off the electrical work. Not only did they rewire everything that had previously run through the old walls, but they also installed new ceiling lights to make a brighter and more open space.
